To take the TOLC@HOME, you must have all the necessary tools listed in point 4.2.1 Necessary and Mandatory Equipment to take the TOLC@HOME and the instructions from the TOLC Rules for Participants. Additionally, make sure to meet all the technical requirements listed below.
Necessary Devices
In order to take a TOLC@HOME, you must have:
- A stable Internet connection without a VPN or Proxy
- A laptop computer, connected to the power supply and to the Internet, with:
- a single screen
- a built-in camera
- all USB ports free
- The APP installed on the laptop you will use to take the test. Download it from your CISIA student area
- A smartphone or tablet (hereinafter mobile device) with:
- a camera
- the latest version of the WEBEX app. WEBEX is necessary to join the virtual room, and it is used as an identification and monitoring tool
- a QR code reader (via a native or downloadable app)
- blank sheets of paper and a pen for taking notes
- a quiet room (in your home or at another address), properly lit, with a single access door, free of other people and set up with the items listed above
- a valid identification document
Technical Requirements
- The day of the test make sure that:
- You have deactivated any antivirus software and have disabled automatic system updates
- You have enabled Javascript and cookies in the browser
- You are the only one using the connection during the test
- You have an ADSL or Fiber Internet connection
- You have an Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 600kbps (upload) and 1.2Mbps (download), which can be verified by online speed tests
- Your laptop has an Intel 2GHz Dual-Core processor (e.g. Intel i3 or higher) or equivalent AMD processor and 4GB of RAM (check your laptop's system information)
- You have one of the following operating systems on your laptop: Windows 10 (64 bit) or later or macOS 12 or later
- You have set a display resolution to at least 1024x768 pixels or higher (check the Display settings)
- You use one of the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge
You can’t use VPN/PROXY connections or any system and/or technology that relocates the point of access to the Internet network, compared to the actual network to which the laptop and mobile device are connected.
